A parent never imagines their child will be diagnosed with a life limiting or life threatening condition. But when the unimaginable happens, Acorns steps in, helping families cope at every stage of their child’s life and beyond, wherever and whenever they need it. The need for children’s hospice care never stops which is why they are here to provide specialist palliative care 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Everyone has the opportunity to lead positive, active and fulfilling lives, especially those that are in need, disadvantaged or marginalised. Their vision for the Masonic Community is to ensure Masonic families are healthy, stable and secure thereby providing them with the opportunities to participate actively in their community and succeed in life. To be a force for good by providing support, care and services to Freemasons and their families in need, and supporting other charities to help the most disadvantaged in society.

Midlands Air Ambulance Charity is responsible for funding and operating three air ambulance helicopters and two critical care cars serving the communities of six Midlands counties: Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, the West Midlands and Worcestershire. This constitutes the largest air ambulance operating region in the UK. The charity also provides secondary cover to surrounding areas, such as Warwickshire and Mid Wales.

Since 1991, the charity has responded to more than 63,000 missions, making it one of the longest established and busiest air ambulance organisations in the UK.

The Lodge of Bon Accord proudly support the Charity. Included in the photograph is the Provincial Grand Master of Worcestershire and the Worshipful Master of the Lodge for that year.

Supports a nationwide network of food banks and together we provide emergency food and support to people locked in poverty, and campaign for change to end the need for food banks in the UK.
In the UK, more than 14 million people are living in poverty – including 4.5 million children. They support more than 1,200 food bank centres in the UK to provide a minimum of three days’ nutritionally-balanced emergency food to people who have been referred in crisis, as well as support to help people resolve the crises they face.

Are an active group of former heart patients who aim to improve the quality of life for ourselves and fellow heart patients and their families by sharing our experiences, improving awareness and understanding of the various heart conditions. We believe that given due respect to their heart problems most patients can lead a near normal active life. The group is primarily intended for people living in the Solihull and neighbouring areas of the West Midlands.

A hospital visit can be a frightening experience for a young child, especially in an emergency situation. Teddies for Loving Care (TLC) is a way of providing much-needed comfort to children in A&E departments, helping to reduce the shock and distress of their experience. Every child that receives a teddy gets to take it home. TLC is locally managed by Freemasons who also volunteer their time to run the scheme. Since its inception in 2001, over 2.5 million teddies have been distributed to hospitals throughout England and Wales.
